THE ROAD TO VRINDAVAN
They say if you find your way to Vrindavan that you have good karma.
I certainly felt lucky to be headed to the birth place of the beloved
Hindu God, Krishna, and there was plenty to see on the way.
With every bump in the road having its own special shape and size,
One couldn't help wonder what this magical place would bring to light.
I was specifically drawn to the architecture of India and was fascinated by
its multi layered variety of curves and use of structure that helped it to metomorphosize into such fanciful delight.
I chose to shoot this series in black and white to represent the darkness and lightness of life itself. Softness and purity in a harsh environment, beauty ascending.
It didn't take long to notice the glorious glow of love filling the eyes and smiles of the faces in Vrindavan.
Radhe Radhe reverberated through the streets as the divine greetings
were generous enough to soften anyones heart.
Krishna Balaram Temple is one of the many beautifully crafted temples located in Vrindavan.
A bewildering labyrinth of intricate archways and spiraling stairs leading to balconies that elegantly morph into orbicular structures that rest
on the top like a queens crown.
Symetrically placed geometrical shapes create a path of linear hallways that seemingly push you towards the wafts of sandalwood and sacred sounds of prayer, eventually reaching the temples core.
